Take waste medications and needles to any convenient drop-off site including many pharmacies and medical facilities around Santa Cruz County.

Note that hospitals, clinics, medical practices, pathology labs, convalescent homes, group homes, nursing facilities, hospices, veterinary hospitals, acupuncturists, or any other businesses are NOT eligible to use this program.

Be responsible, be informed...

As of September 1, 2008, it is illegal to discard used sharps in the garbage or recycling, and used sharps must be transported in an approved sharps container.
